AUCTIONEER'S
ORDINANCE RE: AUCTIONEER'S LICENSE
Suitable persons may be licensed by the Selectmen to act as auctioneers to sell property at public auction within said Town.
Said license shall continue for one (1) year, unless revoked or forfeited.
Every person so licensed shall pay to the treasurer of the Town of Stonington for his certificate the sum of five dollars ($5.00), and shall execute a bond to the Town in the penal sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the faithful performance of his duties.
Every person not so licensed and qualified who shall sell at public auction any property in this Town shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall pay a fine to the treasurer of said Town of not less than one dollar ($1.00) nor more than ten dollars ($10.00).
All ordinances or parts of this ordinance inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
