Dear Residents and Businesses:

Burglaries in Pawcatuck-Arrest

The Stonington Police Department has been investigating several burglaries that have been discovered over the past few weeks.

The Patrol and Detective Divisions have been working diligently over the past few weeks investigating recently discovered burglaries in the Pawcatuck section of the Town of Stonington.  Both divisions have worked tirelessly at developing leads, following up on public information, and executing search warrants.  As a result of their efforts, some of the stolen items from the burglaries have been recovered, and an arrest has been made.

On 2/1/13, at approx. 2100 hrs., Lenny Fayerweather, age 24, of 98 West Broad St, Pawcatuck, Ct,  was arrested on a warrant and charged with 3 counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, 2 counts of Larceny 3rd Degree, and 1 count of Criminal Mischief 2nd degree.

Lenny Fayerweather is being held on an $85,000 bond and will be presented in Superior Court, New London on 2/4/13, if unable to make bond.

The case remains under investigation and more arrests are possible.

Thank you to all of our residents who worked close with our Patrol and Detective Units thus far in this investigation.
