Tax Exemption on Commercial Fishing Apparatus Ordinance

ORDINANCE RE:  TAX EXEMPTION ON COMMERCIAL FISHING APPARATUS

        BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEGAL VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF STONINGTON IN LAWFUL TOWN MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, THAT THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE BE             ESTABLISHED BY THE TOWN OF STONINGTON IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 12-81(36) PUBLIC ACT 98-262:

        There shall be exempt from property tax all commercial fishing apparatus having a value of more than $500. in accordance with Section 12-81(36) Public Act 98-262, without the annual   filing of a personal property declaration form.

        This Ordinance shall become effective after its passage and publication and shall be applicable to assessment years of the Town of Stonington commencing on or after October 1, 1998.
