A MESSAGE FROM AQUARION – 2023 MYSTIC SYSTEM WATER MAIN FLUSHING SCHEDULE (ZONES 1-10)

Week of May 1:   

Zone 1 : Dean’s Mill and Flanders Roads including side-streets/developments serviced by Aquarion.

Zone 2: Mistuxet Ave to Denison Ave, including isolated side-streets.

Week of May 8:  (Will be completed between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.)

Zone 3 Jerry Brown Rd  to Coogan Blvd, and Maritime Drive, including side-streets. 

Zone 4: Old Mystic Village and the Holiday Inn/McQuade’s hill, including the Hyatt Place Hotel, and the Shell Station on the corner of Greenmanville and Coogan.

Week of May 15:

Zone 5: Whitehall Ave from Old Mystic Village to Jerry Brown Rd, including side-streets.

Zone 6: Whitehall Ave north from Jerry Brown Rd, plus Lantern Hill Rd to our treatment plant, including side streets.

Week of May 22:

Zone 7: Nautilus Ave residential development.

Zone 8: Greenmanville Ave south to Hinckley Street, including side streets.

Week of May 29:

Zone 9: Greenmanville Ave from Hinckley Street to Mistuxet Ave, including side streets.

Zone 10: Hewitt Rd from Mistuxet Ave to Coburn St, including side streets in-between.

The schedule for zones 11-20 will be released at a future date.

Please note, flushing activities may cause discoloration due to the disturbance of minerals in the water mains.  Although not a health concern, it is advised to store tap water in the refrigerator for drinking and cooking and to check the condition of the water before washing clothes.  Most discoloration can be quickly cleared by running all of the taps (including bathtubs) in the residence/business.
