Town Communication Survey

Transparency and Communication

The Board of Selectmen have been working on ways to enhance municipal communication and as part of this effort, formed the Stonington Public Communication Ad Hoc Committee in November 2020. The Committee has been busy working with the First Selectman, along with representatives from Board and Commissions and Town staff to evaluate the current forms of communication and identify areas of continued improvement.

This has resulted in a new Stonington Communication Inventory and our first official Communication Strategy, both of which can be found here: www.stonington-ct.gov/selectmens-office/pages/stonington-communication-channels. Both of these are intended to be living documents and we welcome feedback via the First Selectman’s office.

The next step is to get direct feedback from the community. As part of this the Committee has created a brief survey to better understand how effective current communication channels are and areas for improvement. If you could take a few minutes to fill out this survey, and share it with friends, family, and neighbors it would be very appreciated. We ask the survey be completed by July 19, 2021.
