Emergency Management

From Covid to Hurricanes to Winter Weather, we want to be sure all members of the community know the importance of signing up for our Emergency Alert System. The Town of Stonington’s Everbridge system provides residents with accurate and immediate notifications to any phone, via text, email or voice message (see link below).

We also have a Special Needs Emergency Registry that helps police, fire and other first responders in our community better prepare for and respond to your needs during a hurricane, storm, homeland security or any other emergency situation that we may be experiencing. If you, or someone you know, may need extra help during a time of emergency, please sign up today using  this form. You can read more on the link on the side of this page as well.

Please also remember to check on your vulnerable family, friends and neighbors. If anyone is in need of assistance outside of the Department of Human Services normal business hours (M-F, 8;30am-4:00pm), please don’t hesitate to reach out to our partners at 2-1-1 Connecticut.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is located in the Community Room at the Stonington Police Department during a major weather event or emergency.
