NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF STONINGTON
The Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meetings of the Town of Stonington, Connecticut, will be held at Stonington High School, 176 S Broad St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
To consider, discuss, and vote upon the following:
FIRST: A resolution to approve a lease between the Town of Stonington and Saint Michael’s Church Pawcatuck Connecticut for property located at 131 West Broad Street, Pawcatuck, Connecticut. A copy of the complete text of the proposed lease is on file in the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours and online at www.stonington-ct.gov.
SECOND: A resolution to approve a lease between the Town of Stonington and Stonington Community Rowing, Inc. Stonington Connecticut for property located at 123 Greenmanville Ave, Stonington, CT. A copy of the complete text of the proposed lease is on file in the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours and online at www.stonington-ct.gov.
THIRD: A resolution to abate real property taxes, interest and costs, in the amount of $3,782.25, for property located at Al Harvey Road (Assessor’s Map 120, Block 1, Lot 2A) and owned by Avalonia Land Conservancy, Inc., said abatement being authorized by Connecticut General Statute §12-81dd. A copy of the complete text of the proposed request is on file in the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours and online at www.stonington-ct.gov.
At this hearing electors and residents may appear and be heard.
