Transfer Station and Fees
It has been found that non-residents are utilizing the Transfer Station. We appreciate people both recognizing the multitude of services offered by our programs and wanting to use them. This facility however, is for Stonington residents only. Although it might be a slight inconvenience, please be prepared to show proof of residency at the Gatehouse.
To expedite the flow of traffic into the Transfer Station we are offering Stonington residents a Town of Stonington Transfer Station Permit Sticker to be adhered to the windshield of your vehicle. You can find the application on the side bar of the Solid Waste Department web page. Bring the completed form to the Town Hall to receive your sticker. Applications are also available at the Solid Waste Department in the Town Hall. Please have your driver's license and vehicle registration information to receive your sticker. Thank you!
